The Government of Andorra, in developing its legislation on children and gender equality, is working on the development of various protocols for the prevention of violence.

However, despite the existence of these resources, the Secretary of State for Youth and Sports considers it essential to design a framework that determines the safeguarding and welfare policy for sport in Andorra, based on two parameters: the work already being done in other ministries of the Government of Andorra in relation to the prevention of violence; and the current perspective being developed by the IOC regarding safeguarding and well-being in sport. Taking these parameters into account, the Secretary of State for Youth and Sports has requested technical assistance from Avento to carry out an analysis of the current situation and design strategies and actions to be developed to ensure that Safeguarding and Well-being become a cross-cutting theme in sport in Andorra.
